Titles are a Writer's Best Friend

How critical is a great book title? Big time important.

You could even sell your book on your title alone.

Cindy and Alan Garner self-published a book called, "Every Thing Men Know about Women."

How do I know for sure that the title alone sold the book?
The book had nothing in it except 120 completely empty blank pages.
Yet, the book sold well over 2,000,000 copies and still sells today!

Dare to be a Daniel in your Writing and Publishing

Dare To Be A Daniel

Standing by a purpose true,
Heeding God's command,
Honor them, the faithful few!
All hail to Daniel's band!

Refrain

Dare to be a Daniel,
Dare to stand alone!
Dare to have a purpose firm!
Dare to make it known.

Many mighty men are lost
Daring not to stand,
Who for God had been a host
By joining Daniel's band.

Refrain

Many giants, great and tall,
Stalking through the land,
Headlong to the earth would fall,
If met by Daniel's band.

Refrain

Hold the Gospel banner high!
On to vict'ry grand!
Satan and his hosts defy,
And shout for Daniel's band.

Refrain

I love how this guest essay author, took a popular book/theme, and synthesized the info into something new.

Guest Essay - 10 Tools for Writers by Suzanne Anderson

#1 Something to Write With

For years, I used laptops of various sizes. As I aged, I realized that my eyes needed an extra-large screen. And so I switched from laptops to an Apple desktop with a 26 inch screen...I agonized over this purchase for a long time because it was an expensive investment. But, after I crashed three PC's in one year before I switched to this computer two years ago...it was well worth it.

References from recent attendees:

"The writing conference was awesome! SO much better than reading a "how to" book. Cheryl provided such great information and insight, in a fun and personal way. Can't wait for Part II!" - Sheri Davis All Natural Mom of 4

"Cheryl Moeller's Writing Conference motivated me to do what I had wanted to do for so long - get my book in print. Her understanding of publishing and marketing was a great resource for me and now I have a book that I can share with my children, grandchildren and the world." - Kay Swatkowski, national speaking and writing ministry is now at American Grandma and author of One Endless Line of Faith: 30 Days of Prayer for our Grandchildren

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at both your writing and marketing conferences. I found myself listening with rapt attention to all that was said. There is no such thing as boredom at this conference. The candidness with which Cheryl speaks is refreshing, and the help she extends to all is over the top. Cheryl is all about community. Her ideas seem endless. Thanks for opening up my world to the possibilities that exist within the writing realm." - Arlene Hughes

1. Neckline: Cut about one inch down around the whole neckline for a new more girly neckline. 2. Sides: Tshirt was a men's large: made it into a women's small. Cut back some of the tshirt on both sides all the way down, saving 2 inches more on each side than you think you need for the ties. Cut small 1 inch wide slits along the sides of the t-shirt, or down the spine area. Tie them tight into knots. (Same procedure as for a tie quilt.) 3. Love your new recycled tshirt fit for a girl.

Happy Fourth of July

We celebrate we can celebrate
We celebrate orange sunshine in abundance and the grill on.
I love the parade
We celebrate we remember our parents and grandparents celebrating.
We celebrate we still have a volunteer band in our village loud but not off key.
We celebrate volunteer musicians have time to enjoy a hobby a sign of a free society.
We celebrate sights sounds senses
We celebrate soldiers in uniform standing tall
We celebrate quilts made with red white blue
We celebrate children and grandchildren gazing up at the fireworks
We celebrate God and liberty.
I love the U.S.A.
